Garden Route Yoga Festival, This weekend retreat is the perfect getaway for everyone to enjoy the serene surroundings of Wilderness in the Garden Route, rejuvenate and reset after the incubation of winter so that we may bloom into the warmth of spring and summer! Here we can sink into nature in the abundant Lush landscape of WildFarm in Wilderness. Dig deep into the rich soils of our life, and slip into the peacefully meditative relaxation as we intimately connect with our Whole Self.

What can you Expect at Garden Route Yoga Festival?
Well, let’s start at the beginning… Firstly, the Wildfarm is a family-run farm and backpackers… yes farm… where blissfully cows roam over the green hills (giving us a feeling of the Transkei), horses run and sheep baaaa! Secondly, they aim to be the first eco-lodge where growth in Self Sustainability is a priority! They run on solar mostly and catch their own rainwater! The green hills dip into the natural valleys, the nooks and crannies where the reforestation has begun. Amongst the veggies, there are the Wildfarm Backpackers with the community at its core and a beautiful sunset deck with a spectacular view, the perfect place to enjoy the amazing wood-fired oven pizzas while soaking in the tranquillity of nature.
The Wildfarm Backpackers offers a variety of accommodation options!
There are beautiful levelled camping sites on the soft blankets of green grass! That is to say, there are dorms, single/double rooms and en-suite rooms and family rooms! These rooms are at extra cost! Above all, there is a communal kitchen with the basic pots and pans for self-catering! Last but not least there are hot showers indoors and outdoors! Lastly, there are a variety of fire pits with lekker braai plekkies! Wildfarm has the best views all around!!!
Ok so what about the Garden Route Yoga Festival?

We would like to offer you a weekend to re-treat yourself!
Importantly give your whole self some healing with some good-natured medicine. Bring your camping gear and set up (or book a room) and leave the rest to us! Friday arrive and settle in, we will hold an opening ceremony to welcome each other, listen to a meditation and or video and share a delicious wholesome veggie dinner. Most importantly, fall asleep to the lullaby of the waves crashing down the hill or linger longer by the fireside.
As we connect to others we can find ourselves!
Start Saturday morning with tea and coffee! Thereafter followed by Traditional Tantra Yoga, this practice rooted in the Vedas is subtle yet strong and available to all body types at all levels. This practice is for yourself, we meet ourselves intimately as we are, we rest, we relax and we meditate through movement. Through this art of relaxation, we are able to sink deeper into each asana and deeper within ourselves!
Our living, breathing Selfs are intimately connected to Trees!
We will nourish with breakfast of cereals, fruits and toast! Tea and coffee again if you want! After breakfast, we will do some tree planting! As the trees exhale, we inhale, as we exhale, the trees inhale. Breathe, Prana, Vata is life – Trees and plants are life. The Earth is alive, as is the soil full of life, the soil heals and nourishes all plants, as the roots dig deep gathering nutrients and information through the roots’ systemic web, we may also heal as we dig our hands into the soil and give energy for the trees to continue to grow. We breathe in their excellent medicine.

After lunch, we will digest with meditation and move into Movement Medicine with Cacao. Let your body move, let your mind go with all those insecurities and concerns, release, shake, smile and celebrate your movement. After dinner, we will illuminate through the pulsating healing of drums. Bring your own drum or hire a drum from the Garden Route full moon drummers for Vibration is creation, we are vibration, we are creation, the sound is sacred, our sound is holy. Our sound is the pathway to return to our divine nature, Nature is Divine.
This yoga and meditation festival is one of a kind in South Africa!
We are Nature. And there is still more….. Sunday continues to flow as Saturday morning! Repetition brings the practice more deeply into our unconscious, allowing us to intuitively move from our muscle memory. We are about 90% water, water holds memory, by repeating this good medicine, our body systems are able to hold this and allow us to remain in a relaxed meditative space in our daily lives. Morning tea and coffee wake-ups will be available followed by meditation and Yoga. A welcoming breakfast before we walk the land pausing for meditation as we receive our Self with gratitude.
